Jacob Schlosser was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois where he graduated from Springfield High School in 2012. Jacob earned a B.A. degree from Valparaiso University in 2016 with majors in Economics and Political Science and a minor in German. He then returned to Springfield where he worked for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and completed a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Illinois Springfield in 2018. Jacob received his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri in 2021. During law school, Jacob completed a judicial clerkship in 2020 with the Honorable Judge Matthew Schelp of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Jacob passed the July 2021 Illinois Bar Exam and joined Woods & Bates, P.C. as a member of the inaugural class of Illinois State Bar Association Rural Practice Fellows.
Mr. Schlosser’s areas of practice include municipal law, estate planning and administration, real estate transactions, business formation, secured transactions, and collection matters.
